Bespoke Handmade Frames

Each bespoke frame is handmade to order by me, built specifically for the photograph it holds. These frames are not off-the-shelf or mass-produced — they’re made slowly, with care, and with the same attention I bring to my photographic work.

The aim is simple: to create a frame that supports the image rather than competing with it. Clean lines, honest materials, and a finish that feels considered and understated.

Frames are made using solid wood, cut, joined, sanded, and finished by hand. Subtle variations are part of the process and are embraced — each frame carries the marks of being made, not manufactured.

A simpler, all-in-one approach

One of the main reasons I’m offering bespoke framing is to make the process simpler and more complete for people buying prints. Rather than purchasing a photograph and then having to source framing elsewhere, this allows everything to be handled in one place — from print to final, ready-to-hang piece.

It keeps the work together, avoids third-party framing that may not suit the image, and ensures the photograph is presented in the way it was intended from the outset.

That being said frames can also be made for work that hasn’t come from this site. If you have a photograph, artwork, print, or something personal you’d like framed, feel free to get in touch and we can discuss the best approach.

Cost & accessibility

Bespoke framing is often expensive, particularly when outsourced or produced in small quantities. By making frames myself, I’m able to keep costs as low as possible while still using good materials and taking proper care in the build.

Pricing will always reflect time, materials, and scale, but I’m open to discussion and happy to talk through options — whether that’s simplifying a design, adjusting materials, or working to a particular budget where possible. The aim is to make framing feel considered and accessible, not intimidating.

If you already have a clear idea of the frame you’d like — the type of wood, colour, or style — that’s great. If not, that’s absolutely fine too. We can talk through different options together to find something that suits both the image and the space it will live in.
